Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown Hospital is seeking a Protective Services Dispatcher to support emergency and non-emergency communications from the dispatch center. You will manage multi-channel radio operations, monitor security systems, and coordinate with field units to ensure timely responses.

The role is PRN/as-needed, requiring strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure in a hospital setting on-site in Youngstown, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years security/dispatch experience preferred.
• Ability to type 35–40 wpm.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and radios.

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate, and disseminate information to field units.
• Prioritize and dispatch emergency personnel per procedures.
• Monitor alarm systems and CCTV as required.
• Maintain logs of units dispatched and arrival times.
• Assist in providing information to outside agencies.
• Process personnel through the photo badge system.
