Job summary

The City of Prescott, Arizona, seeks dedicated Public Safety Telecommunicators to operate in the Regional Communications Center. You will handle 911 and non-emergency calls, relay critical information, and dispatch police and fire units using CAD and EMD systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with ability to obtain training within 12 months.
• Must pass drug, polygraph, psychological tests and background check.
• Typing speed of at least 40 wpm and ability to learn dispatch procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer non-emergency and emergency (911) calls.
• Interpret and relay information via CAD/EMD for police and fire.
• Dispatch officers to emergency sites per protocols.
• Maintain records and conduct trainings for new staff.
• Assist with warrants, NCIC checks, and background tasks.
