Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in emergency management, fire administration, business administration, science or related field; experience may substitute.
• Min. 4 years experience with a fire or emergency response agency.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead others, multitask, and work extended hours during emergencies.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• NWCG qualifications (IADP/ACDP/EDSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for ESF4 Statewide Dispatch functions, including personnel, training and QA.
• Oversee budget, inventory, grants, and dispatch system maintenance.
• Coordinate with other dispatch supervisors and agency leadership for emergency response.
• Staff development and strategic planning to maintain high-quality services.
