Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation seeks an Emergency Specialist 3 - Assistant Center Manager in Dillon, MT. You will coordinate dispatch operations, mobilize resources, and oversee initial attack actions for wildland incidents, ensuring safety and efficiency.

This role requires experience with dispatch software and strong coordination across teams. The position emphasizes leadership, field readiness, and the ability to manage complex incident information, with duties

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience with a high school diploma or 2-year college/tech training.
• Extensive knowledge of wildland dispatch software including WildCAD, IRWIN, IRoc, InFORM.
• Knowledge of multifrequency radio and phone operation and MS Office.
• Familiarity with DNRC Financial Code Generator and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Center Coordinator: mobilize resources for incidents within the Central Montana Zone/Dillon Division.
• Logistical Support: provide timely fire information to dispatchers and incident commanders.
• Staff Management: supervise dispatch staff, permanent and seasonal personnel.
• Initial Attack: oversee mobilization of firefighting forces for incidents.
