Job summary

Regional 911 Intake Solutions in Saint Ignatius, MT is seeking Police Dispatchers to join our public-safety operations. You will receive emergency and non-emergency calls, document locations, and coordinate with officers to ensure timely responses.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, typing proficiency, clear radio communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Training and CJIS access may be required; the role may include night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or recognized equivalent is commonly required.
• Typing accuracy, listening, radio communication, and geography learning are important.
• CJIS access may require additional screening and security training.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and nonemergency requests for police assistance.
• Document incident locations, descriptions, vehicle details, and hazards.
• Assign calls to officers according to priority and procedures.
• Monitor officer status, radio traffic, and requests for assistance.
• Relay updates about changing incidents and safety concerns.
• Conduct authorized records inquiries after training.
• Coordinate with neighboring agencies and other emergency services.
• Maintain incident records and safeguard restricted information.
