Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Georgia seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support patient care in a fast-paced ED. Responsibilities include stocking rooms, maintaining IV pumps, and assisting clinical staff during procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification, with preferred medical experience and ability to document patient data accurately.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification.
• Medical experience preferred; familiarity with taking vital signs is a plus.
• Basic patient care functions should be understood.

Responsibilities

• Stock blankets and prepare treatment rooms with linens.
• Fill oxygen tanks and maintain IV pumps.
• Return patient trays to Nutrition Services.
• Check and log refrigerator temperatures.
• Complete patient assessments including weight, vitals, and oxygen saturation.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist nurses/physicians.
• Document actions and observations on the ED chart.
