Job summary

Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA is seeking an Emergency Services Technician for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and supports triage, admissions, and testing processes.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; EMT/CNA/MA preferred; strong communication, data entry, and medical terminology knowledge; BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; EMT, Certified Nursing or Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in data entry or typing preferred.
• Previous clerical experience preferred.
• Legible handwriting.
• Fluent knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff with patient care throughout the ED course.
• Provides assistance in triage and to nursing/medical personnel.
• Performs aseptic technique and manages supplies in ED.
• Transports patients and uses Meditech electronic health record.
• Inserts intravenous catheters and assists in admission and testing processes.
