Job summary

Liberty Street Hospital in Meadville, PA is seeking an Emergency Services Technician for the Emergency Department. The role is full-time with evening shifts and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, patient monitoring, documentation, and clerical support. Strong interpersonal skills, data entry ability, and BLS certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required; EMT or medical supportCertifications preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and accurate data entry are essential.
• Legible handwriting and knowledge of medical terminology are important.
• Experience with infant to geriatric patient care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department.
• Assist with patient monitoring, documentation, and Clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and uphold infection control policies.

PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN/ ER TECH

SUMMARY
Responsible and accountable for direct and indirect care of patients.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High School graduate or equivalent.
EMT, Certified Nursing or Medical Assistant preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in data entry or typing preferred.
Previous clerical experience preferred.
Legible handwriting.
Through education, experience, and/or training, the individual is qualified to work with infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Fluent knowledge of medical terminology.
Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.
