Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Full-Time Paramedic/EMT to provide baseline and advanced life support in the Emergency Department at Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver, CO. Night shifts required with some weekend/holiday work.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, specimen collection, catheterization, EKGs, and discharge support. The role requires CO emergency department experience, state/national EMT licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Basic EMT or Paramedic license in state of practice.
• EMTs working in an Emergency Department in the state of Colorado, national certification or state EMT license is acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) Certification for Healthcare Providers upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patients' vital signs and informs clinicians of changes.
• Collects blood, urine, saliva, and stool samples for labs.
• Inserts Foley catheters and provides wound care as directed.
• Performs 12-lead EKGs and assists with procedures.
• Assists with safe movement and transfer of patients.
• Maintains patient charts and supports interdisciplinary team.
