Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking a full-time EMT/Paramedic to provide both basic and advanced life support. You will document care, assist physicians, and ensure safe patient handling in a fast-paced emergency department.

The role requires a Montana EMT/Paramedic license, BLS-HCP certification, and IV certification within six months of hire. Expect night shifts, patient transfers, and active collaboration with nurses and doctors.

Qualifications

• Current EMT or Paramedic license in Montana is required.
• Basic Life Support certification required; IV certification within six months.
• Experience with vital signs and patient assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs and inform clinicians of changes.
• Perform basic procedures including catheter insertions and wound care.
• Assist with patient movement, admissions, transfers, and discharge instructions.
• Create and maintain patient charts and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and assist during procedures.

Job Description:This position is responsible for providing both basic and advanced life support to patients in an efficient, knowledgeable, and cost-effective manner, which is accurately documented and properly coordinated with other health care personnel.**A Current Basic EMT or Paramedic License in the State of Montana is required**Essential FunctionsObtains patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and understands normal ranges and changes. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
