Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Emergency Department offers a Graduate Nurse Residency – a 16-week program designed to transition new grads into clinical excellence in a Level 1 trauma center.

As part of Nights/12-hour shifts, you’ll apply the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality while developing leadership in emergency care. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS (AHA) certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Evaluate overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care.
