Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Professional Staff Nurse to join the care delivery team. The role involves setting care standards, managing patient care with independent judgment, and collaborating with physicians and staff to achieve outcomes.

The nurse will lead, teach, and support colleagues across shifts, maintaining a patient-centered, safe care environment. Required is 1+ year RN experience with a current license; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the applicable state or compact.
• BLS/CPR certification as per AHA standards.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships across all care teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Provides patient and family teaching to guide care episodes and transitions.
• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
• Participates in quality improvement and governance to improve patient care and practice environment.
