Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Bridgton, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. The role involves delivering direct patient care in a 12-hour night shift setting and coordinating with physicians on patient condition and diagnostics.

Required are an active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC certifications, and at least one year of ER experience. BSN preferred; sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process and provides direct patient care in Telemetry/ Emergency Department.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
• Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition and results of diagnostics.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality and ensures EMTALA compliance.
