Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Emergency Department is seeking candidates for a Graduate Nurse Residency – a 16-week program in the Night shift, full-time, starting June 2027 (and January 2027 intake).

This residency offers day-one benefits and exposure to a Level 1 Trauma Center with a busy Adult ER and dedicated triage areas. Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited RN program with current RN licensure (state or compact) and BLS certification, who demonstrate compassion, professionalism and a

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact) and meet all state Board of Nursing requirements.
• BLS (AHA) required — or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
