Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRESNow 24/7 Emergency Department. The role involves delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced ED/urgent care setting under RN/physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Nursing Diploma.
• Licensed Practical Nurse-NM or out of state compact LPN license.
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including vitals, medications, and basic procedures in an ED/urgent care as allowed by state regulations.
• Assist in triage by gathering patient information and documenting symptoms and histories.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RNs and physicians.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, splinting, and related procedures.
• Support patients and families with education and reassurance during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Uphold infection control practices and safety.
• Participate in emergency response and team efforts during critical events.
• Restock supplies and prepare the facility for patient care.

Education
