Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring for an ED support role in the Emergency Department. This 24-hour-per-week position runs 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with every-other weekend and rotating holidays.

CNA or EMT license or medical assistant program graduate (or 2 years ED tech experience) is required, CPI within 6 months, HS diploma, and BLS. Paramedic license is preferred. You will assist in patient transport, wound care support, specimen collection, and preparing ED care areas to ensure timely, safe

Qualifications

• Current CNA license or EMT license or medical assistant program student with clinical rotations completed; or 2 years current ED tech experience.
• CPI required within 6 months of hire.
• Paraprofessional or paramedic license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Cleans, stocks, and readies the emergency department for patient care.
• Transports patients within the department and to in-hospital locations as needed.
• Performs clinical functions such as EKGs, wound care prep, and specimen collection.
• Assists in EDMD and Orthopedics with splints, molds, and immobilizers and sets up clinics.
• Performs lab draws as required.
• Follows physician, nurse director, and ED nursing staff directions.
