OSF HealthCare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician I to join the patient care team. You will perform basic patient care tasks under RN supervision, taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Emergency Department Technician functions as a member of the emergency department patient care team, under supervision of the registered nurse. The emergency department technician I performs basic patient care procedures to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients, including, but not limited to, taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, performing ECG's, post-mold application, crutch-walk teaching, spinal immobilization, basic wound care, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts and communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care.
