Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking an ER Tech to assist registered nurses and clinical staff in delivering patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will support peers, patients and families while contributing to a healing environment and safety on the unit.

Ideal candidates have Florida licensure/certification and BLS, ACLS and PALS, with prior hospital experience preferred. You will communicate resource needs to the appropriate charge person to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Current licensure / Certification in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The ER Tech has a responsibility to acts as adjunct to registered nursing and support staff in providing clinical care as approved by their licensure.
• Provide support to peers, patients, and their families.
• All aspects of the ER Tech performance supports service excellence and a healing environment.
• The ER Tech identifies and communicates needed unit resources or equipment to the appropriate person in charge.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing (LPN), EMT or Paramedic program
