Providence’s Swedish Issaquah ED is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to assist ED nurses and licensed practitioners in delivering care to patients with illnesses and injuries. • Support ED nurses and LIP staff in patient care.
• Organize, replace and maintain inventory and supply levels in the ED.
• Serve as liaison among healthcare team, patients and families.

The Emergency Department Technician provides support to the Emergency Department (ED) Nursing and Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities.

Required Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License Or
• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Registered
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training in orthopedic technology desirable.
• 2 years EMT and/or two years Emergency Department experience.
