Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support ED nursing and LIP staff, performing tasks that aid in care and treatment of patients. You will be a liaison among the care team, patients and families, and you will organize, replace and maintain inventory and supplies in the department.

Description

The Emergency Department Technician provides support to the Emergency Department (ED) Nursing and Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities.

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License Or
• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Registered
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training in orthopedic technology desirable.
• 2 years EMT and/or two years Emergency Department experience.
