Mercy Medical Center Redding in California is seeking an ED Tech to assist the Emergency Department's RNs with technical patient care across populations, ensuring timely interventions and efficient operations.

You will document data, collect vital signs and I&O, perform 12-lead EKGs, respond to clinical requests, maintain supplies, and participate in staff development and trainee orientation in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of experience with EMS provider or EMT.
• If no qualified candidates apply, employer may consider candidates without the required one year experience as an EMT.
• Emergency Medical Technician: CA license is required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Aufgaben

• Completes documentation on unit and patient records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
• Performs and documents patient data collection including vital signs and I&O.
• Demonstrates effective response to respiratory/cardiac arrest following departmental guidelines.
• Participates in staff development activities for unit and Nursing Division personnel.
• Performs EMT and other clinical duties as outlined in departmental and hospital Policy and Procedure manual.
• Performs 12 lead EKG per cardiology policy and practice instruction.
