Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support the ED team. This role provides basic clinical and clerical assistance under the supervision of an RN and physicians, including vital signs, patient transport, hygiene, and equipment setup.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, EMT-B certification or recent licensure, BLS, MOAB, and state-mandated trainings. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMT-B license or evidence of EMT-B licensure within last 12 months (WI).
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS).
• MOAB certification or equivalent.
• State-required child/adult abuse training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic, non-invasive clinical and clerical support in the Emergency Department under RN/physician supervision.
• Assist with vital signs, patient transport, hygiene, equipment setup and environmental cleanliness.
• Record observations and contribute to efficient department operations.
