Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department is seeking an ER Tech for part-time 3rd shift. The ED is a Level IV trauma unit with 28 beds, supporting fast-track patients and behavioral health intake.

You will assist with patient admissions, vital sign monitoring, EKG testing, and support for nurses and providers in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, BLS/ACLS, glucometer training, and some data entry or phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Glucometer training or experience preferred.
• Data entry/computer experience and/or phlebotomy/point-of-care testing experience preferred.
• Previous laboratory or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission and orientation to room and safety features.
• Obtain vital signs, apply cardiac monitors, and perform EKGs with proper lead placement.
• Support nurses and providers in transfers, discharges, splinting, and wound care.
• Collect blood, urine, and other specimens following hospital policy.
• Recognize and report abnormal heart rhythms or vital signs to the care team.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care areas; manage equipment.
