Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking an ER Tech for full-time days in Los Angeles. The role supports the RN in providing high-quality patient care, including vital signs, oxygen, dressings, and transport.

You will assist with procedures, patient/family preparation, and safety precautions within a busy emergency department. Minimum schooling includes a high school diploma with EMT training; one year in an emergency setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, EMT training or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Minimum one year recent experience in an emergency setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, individualized basic patient care activities as identified by the RN.
• Perform vital sign measurement, oxygen administration, dressings, gait training, phlebotomy and ECG monitoring.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Prepare patients/families for procedures and assist the RN/MD.
• Respond to concerns regarding patient safety and assist in emergency situations.
