Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking an ED Tech to support timely patient care during night shifts. Under supervision, you will assist with EKG setup, patient transport, and basic healthcare tasks in a fast-paced Emergency Department.

Preferred CNAs or California EMTs with hospital experience are encouraged to apply. Proficiency with Windows and mouse, good communication, and infection control knowledge are valued in this role.

Required Experience

Required:

• Minimal EKG knowledgeable to set-up and run 12-lead EKG (hospital to train)
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
• Non-violent crisis intervention training annually

Preferred:

• California state licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Nurse Attendant (CNA)
• Acute general hospital experience either as an ED Tech, CNA or nursing student.
• Basic windows and mouse skills.
