Dartmouth Health is seeking an ED Technician II to deliver patient care and support in the Emergency Department, working under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 2 years in acute care, phlebotomy experience, and NH NREMT-A license with NHBEMS, plus BLS and MOAB within 6 months of hire.
The Emergency Department (ED) Technician II provides patient care and operational support for patients in the ED during varying states of health and illness. The ED Technician functions as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and must be able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager.Promotes and maintains the philosophy, values, standards of performance and goals of the organization and the department.Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and achieve desired outcomes.
Job Qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalent education.Two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting, ambulance services or ambulatory care preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred. 12-lead EKG experience preferred.National Registered Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (NREMT-A) with a New Hampshire Providers License from the New Hampshire Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (NHBEMS). Basic Life Support (BLS). Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) required within six (6) months of hire
