Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist the RN and physicians with assessments, examinations and treatments in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will document patient care, monitor vital signs, support family education, and help maintain equipment and supplies.

A High School diploma and CPR/BLS are required; CNA/CMA/Paramedic preferred. This role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and efficient time management to ensure high-quality patient

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s/Technical degree preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• CNA/CMA/Paramedic certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required per AH policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/physician with assessments, examinations and treatments; document care.
• Maintain readiness by stocking equipment and conserving supplies.
• Prioritize patient care, manage time and report condition changes to RN/MD.
• Provide patient and family education within scope of practice.
• Document vitals, bedside care, specimens and other patient data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
