Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to assist in patient care under Nursing Staff supervision. You will perform basic technical care, collect samples, and support rapid emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of nursing and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect vitals, weight, pain scores, nutrition intake; document data.
• Recognize abnormal data and report promptly; follow orders.
• Provide direct technical care; assist with mobility, toileting, feeding.
• Perform phlebotomy and handle specimens for lab review.
• Transport patients and assist with education and family support.
• Coordinate clinical tasks and communicate with care team.
