Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The ED, a Level I Trauma Center, provides high-quality care in a fast-paced environment with 53 beds and exposure to trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases.

Full-time role, 36 hours per week, with evening and night shifts. Weekend rotation required; new grads and experienced RNs without ED experience are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Students completing an accredited nursing program may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced ED.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Develop advanced clinical skills in trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases.
