Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 36-hour rotating schedule. The ED is a level I trauma center servicing the Boston metro area with a high-volume patient population and a state-of-the-art facility.

As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide direct patient care, develop and implement care plans, coordinate with the care team, mentor staff, and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required; ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments.
• Assess health care needs and formulate a care plan, its implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care and supervise assistive personnel to ensure safe patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with health professionals and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Maintain annual mandatory education and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates patient advocacy and professional development.
