Job summary

Boston Medical Center, a Magnet recognized organization, is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The role is 36 hours per week, 11 p.m. to 11 a.m., with rotating weekends, in a Level III Trauma Center delivering rapid, high-quality care to patients and families.

The RN will provide patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate records. Requires MA RN license and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred; 3–5 years ED experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ED nursing experience recommended
• Massachusetts RN license and BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred
• BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years required

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
