Job summary

Northwell Health's Norwalk Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with a wide interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, medication administration, patient/family education, and adherence to safety and hospital policies. CT RN license required; BSN preferred; BLS and ANCC certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license (CT Hospitals) and BLS certified.
• American Nurses Association endorsed certifications preferred; hospital policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care guided by ANA scope of practice.
• Assess patient needs, plan care, and document interventions and outcomes.
• Administer medications following the five rights and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing care and ensure safe, compassionate delivery of services.
• Deliver patient-centered care while upholding safety, quality and compliance.
