Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide patient care during a designated shift.

You will oversee a group of patients using the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary health care team. The role includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians, with scheduled weekly hours of 36 and a 1p-1a shift.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through ILCOR courses.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame and provide care via nursing process and teamwork.
• Supervises LPNs, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
