Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED/ER) to provide safe, evidence-based patient care during night shifts. The role requires application of the nursing process, direct patient care, and coordination with physicians on patient status, diagnostics, and treatment plans.

Qualified candidates will hold an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and ideally have ER experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process in Telemetry within the Emergency Department. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
