Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Communicates with the team, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other education process.
• Maintains complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides safe, accurate, and timely medication administration including IVs.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Basic Life Support Certification

Current Texas nursing license or eligibility
