Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Texas nursing license or eligibility to practice.
• Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote teamwork using communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leads education for patients/families about nursing components.
• Communicates with the team, patients and families; evaluates understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
• Ensures accurate, timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapies safely and timely.
• Demonstrates initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Applies the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
