Baystate Health is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. The role supports 20 ED beds in a modern community-based setting, with a strong system-wide network.

The ED Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for urgent and emergent conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and educating patients and families. Night shifts, 24 hours per week, offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Massachusetts RN license or eligible to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Provide timely care for a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions.
• Care for patients across varying acuity, including those needing critical care and stabilization.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per standards of care.
• Monitor patient condition changes and respond to evolving clinical needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and the care team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, meds, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support a safe, compassionate environment.
