Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts. The ED offers a modern, community-based setting with support from a large health system and access to CT and radiology services.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for ED patients, administer medications, monitor conditions, collaborate with the care team, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) required.
• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Experience in emergency department or acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ED patients.
• Provide timely care to a range of urgent and emergent conditions.
• Administer medications and interventions per standards of care.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond to evolving needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, APNs, nurses and the care team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
