Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) seeks a dedicated Staff Nurse, RN for the Emergency Department on the night shift (7p-7a). This part-time, on-site role is based in Newark, OH, at LMHS, delivering high-quality care in a busy ED environment.

As a clinically competent RN, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, coordinate with the healthcare team, and ensure adherence to professional nursing standards across the health system.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure for Ohio.
• BLS Certification (Mandatory).
• ACLS Certification (Mandatory within 6 months).
• PALS Certification (Mandatory within 6 months).
• Ability to work independently.
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, which may require annual education related to standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple concurrent patient concerns and issues.
• Administer medications within the RN scope of practice.
• Assist physicians with procedures in the ED.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and treatments for emergent patients.
• Provide direction to LPNs, POCTs, and ancillary staff.
• Perform crisis interventions.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of physician orders.
• Perform defibrillation, cardioversion, and external pacing as needed.
• Support ED flow to reduce patient length of stay.
• Perform other duties as requested.
