Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at the UMMC West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. The ED RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients of all ages, including resuscitation and stabilization in acute and traumatic scenarios.

The role is 0.75 FTE with a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7:30am) and every third weekend, requiring BLS, MN RN license, ADN/ASN and upcoming ACLS/TNCC/ENPC within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• ADN/ASN required or equivalent.
• MN RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of hire.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within one year of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients across all ages and acuities in the ED.
• Perform advanced patient assessment, monitoring, and interventions.
• Administer medications and manage infusions per care plan.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for patient care and safety.
• Operate unit equipment safely and respond to emergencies.
