Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts. The ED features 20 beds, two critical care bays, and an in-department CT scanner, with support from a large health system.

The ED RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for ED patients, administer medications, and handle a range of urgent conditions across acuity levels. Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) will be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Current RN license in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Provide timely care to patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions.
• Care for patients across varying levels of acuity, including those requiring critical care intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established standards of care.
