Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide direct professional nursing care in ED and outpatient settings. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring a therapeutic and safe environment for all ages from neonate to geriatric, in alignment with organizational policies.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, interventions, and education, with focus on evidence-based practice and collaboration

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing.
• BLS; enrolled in NH+C RQI program and complete quarterly assignments within 90 days.
• ACLS; enrolled in NH+C RQI program and complete quarterly assignments within 90 days.
• ENPC certification (if not current, obtain in first 6 months).
• TNCC certification (if not current, obtain in first 6 months).
• CPI (Initial Crisis Prevention Certification) within six months.
• Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter.
• Two years RN experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient condition based on observation, exam, interview, labs, and other data.
• Develops and implements the patient plan of care with physician collaboration.
• Administers medications and prepares for procedures per policy.
• Performs technical nursing functions such as IVs, dressings, restraints, etc.
• Evaluates patient response and revises care plans as needed.
• Provides patient and family education based on diagnosis and regimens.
