Job summary

HonorHealth’s Tempe Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The RN will apply ANA standards, evaluate patient data, administer medications, and support overall patient care.

The role requires strong collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and effective family communication. Ideal candidates hold an Arizona RN license, BLS, and 1+ year of med-surg/acute care experience, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year med-surg or acute care experience preferred.
• Stroke education requirements per addendum may apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow ANA standards and code of ethics for nursing practice.
• Record patient history and symptoms; assist with diagnostics and treatments.
• Administer medications and IV therapies; monitor for interactions and adverse effects.
• Develop and contribute to care plans; ensure family education and engagement.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive care.
• Mentor and preceptor staff and students to uphold quality patient care.
• Ensure safe, cost-effective delivery of nursing care and document progress.
