Job summary

As a Clinical Nurse (RN) with Duke University Health System, you will make patient-centered care your priority while providing and supervising total nursing care. The RN follows the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) and supports the DUHS Professional Practice model as part of the Emergency Services team in Durham, NC.

New graduates join the Nurse Residency Program, a 12-month paid track with dedicated nurse educators, ensuring hands-on training and theory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required; ADN/diploma holders must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete within seven years of start date.
• All RN candidates without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and complete it within seven years.
• Professional specialty certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in patient care.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and DUHS policies; participate in education and professional development.

Education
