Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will provide professional, compassionate care in a Level IV ED, triaging patients and supporting physicians with examinations and procedures.

You will hold Colorado RN licensure, with BLS within 3 months and ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC within 6 months. Experience in ED preferred; strong critical thinking and broad clinical skills are valued. Salary ranges reflect shift differentials and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active Colorado RN license.
• Must have American Heart Association BLS card within 3 months of hire and maintain status.
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Records patient histories, performs diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans with other professionals.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring equipment as needed.
• Observes progress, documents in the medical record, and updates attending physician as necessary.
• Maintains health and prevents illness, injury, and disability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
