Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center in Herndon, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team to meet department standards and improve patient outcomes.

The role requires assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NCI must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• RN certification and licensure are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and document care in the medical record.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, and follow-up.
• Advocate for patients/families and support clinical outcomes.
