Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, creating individualized care plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary care to support patients and families.

Requirements include Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), current RN license, and BLS certification. ED experience and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in the English language (spoken and written).
• RN with emergency department experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, mental, and emotional health.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document patient information in the medical record accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments following safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and care plans.
• Supervise nursing and support staff and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home.
