Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in a full-time role. The RN will triage, assess and treat patients of all ages, and coordinate with physicians and hospital departments to deliver safe, effective care.

Minimum ER Acute Care experience with Florida RN licensure (or ability to obtain) is required. BLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention should be completed before start; ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year ER Acute Care RN experience (within the last year)
• Florida RN license or able to obtain licensure prior to start
• Associate Degree, or RN Diploma
• BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Life Support (or PALS Instructor) within 90 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
• Develop plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually
• Provide follow up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
• Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient focused and safety aware at all times
