Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in applicable state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains safety culture and promotes best practices.
• Delivers care within policies and may administer medications per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Communicates effectively and supports team collaboration and delegation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Provides age-appropriate care and adheres to growth and development considerations.
