The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds an active RN license, and maintains BCLS/CPR with ACLS/PALS or ENPC; TNCC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center.
• Validate clinical skills outlined in the orientation checklist and maintain annual clinical competency.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments and psychosocial evaluations to determine urgency.
• Assign triage categories to ensure timely care based on condition severity.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following protocols.
• Administer medications accurately following the five rights.
• Supervise ER Technicians and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain procedures and treatment plans.
